Cona Escape is our home. But we spend so little time in it that we thought we would share it with you!
It is rented as a 2-bedroom sleeping 4 + 2 floor beds for kids, with the third locked off to house our personal belongings. Cona Escape sits on 2.5 acres of hilly terrain just North of Courtenay with views toward the mountains. Yes, hilly! If you are renting this in the wintertime, AWD and snow tires are a must. Wary winter drivers are advised to park up at the top of the hill and walk if snow is in the forecast so as to not get trapped waiting for the snow plough.
It shares the 2.5 acres with the Cona Treehouse, a small carriage house in the corner of the lot. We love the incredible privacy and outdoor spaces, particularly in the summer. The pond is certainly an attraction and so is Seal Bay Nature Park only a few hundred metres away. Avid hikers can walk to the ocean in about an hour without setting foot in a vehicle.
Courtenay is a short 4 km and 5 minute drive away. Mount Washington is 25 minutes via the back roads. Get the best of both worlds, town and mountain, while vising the Comox Valley and stay at Cona Escape.
